VIVAnews - The report made by the IDC over the trend in the Indonesian market by 2010 revealed that information technology sector would have minor increase in expenditure.

In addition, the government's expenses on infrastructure development will affect the optimization of IT devices in several industries.

"However, in the same year, cloud computing will grow," said VMware Indonesia Country Manager, Edwin Lim, in Jakarta today, Dec 1.

Edwin also claimed that green technology would be the next hype. "[The technology] would be adopted by top players in the industry," he said.

The spreading popularity of green technology implementation is not surprising, he said. "It can by no means push down the company's operational expenditure in the long run," said Edwin.

Edwin mentioned that depressed market urged telecommunication operators to review their strategies.

"They can't no longer hinge on voice and text," said Edwin. "Value-added services will in the future contribute more in the company's revenue," he said.
